Rebuild Hope for Zachary Montgomery

Dear friends, family and kindhearted strangers,

Zack is a hard-working young man in his 30’s and a self-employed landscaper. His health started unexpectedly declining last year, and he began experiencing severe stomach pain around Thanksgiving.

His primary care doctor suggested a CT scan. One of his kidneys was grossly enlarged, comparable to a two liter bottle. His right kidney was functioning at 96%, but his left kidney was only at 4-5%. He was immediately hospitalized and on December 12th had surgery to install a nephrostomy tube to help relieve the swollen kidney.

A urologist recommended that his kidney be removed, but his declining health has also been marked by evidence of severe parasitic infection. He has fought hard for many months to find doctors who would treat him and has only recently found specialists who have taken an interest. He has been treated by a dermatologist and is currently working with doctors in infectious disease and gastroenterology.

In the summer of 2023, while transporting a banana tree gifted to him by a client, he was attacked and bitten by an aggressive insect. It was night, and he couldn’t see what was biting him. He suspects that might be what started it all.

Zack is constantly fatigued and has experienced dramatic weight loss since this all began. The last time he was able to work was in November 2024. He has a mortgage and has come under financial hardship trying to keep up with medical bills and regular expenses.

Zack has faith that God can heal and restore him and is asking for you to pray and believe in a miracle.
