Rebuild Hope for Troy & Wendy Sauber’s Family After Fire!

My name is Tabbitha, and I am raising funds to help one of my best friends, Wendy Sauber, her husband Troy, and her kiddos navigate through a terrible tragedy that no one should ever have to go through.

On the evening of Friday, April 11, 2025, our daughters were at the Minot High soccer game. The two decided to leave about 20 minutes before the game was over. After leaving the game, my daughter gave Peyton (Wendy's daughter) a ride home. As my daughter was backing out of the driveway, Peyton came running up to her car, saying that there was smoke coming from her house. Without a second thought, both the girls ran to the house to see what was happening. When they opened the front door, they were hit with smoke and realized the home was on fire. My daughter quickly called 911 and had informed approaching neighbors of what was happening. Thankfully, the Minot Fire Department and other first responders arrived within minutes. They immediately jumped into action to not only save what they could of their home, but also rushed to search and rescue all their fur babies. Despite all their efforts to save them by administering CPR, they were not able to save their 3 dogs and one of their cats. They are absolutely devastated.

In addition to losing their fur babies, their home suffered major damage. There is extensive fire damage to the kitchen and bathroom as well as smoke and water damage to the rest of the house.

As of now, it has been determined that there was a short in the oven that sparked and started the fire shortly after Wendy and her young son left their home.

We are so grateful that Wendy, Troy, and the kids are all safe. However, they now have the overwhelming challenge of rebuilding what was lost. As well as burying and saying goodbye to their fur babies. Their family will be displaced as

their home and their family routines are pieced back together over the coming days/weeks.
