On a quiet evening, Donte Hightower and his family were spending time together in their family room when tragedy struck. Without warning, a fire sparked from an electrical fault in the attic and quickly spread throughout their home. Thankfully, everyone (Donte, his wife, their son, and their daughter) made it out safely. But in a matter of minutes, they lost nearly everything they owned.

Their home, possessions, and precious memories were destroyed, leaving them with only the clothes on their backs. As they face the overwhelming challenge of rebuilding their lives, they are in urgent need of help, from finding temporary housing to replacing essentials like clothing, furniture, and daily necessities.

Donte has always been the kind of person who shows up for others, a hardworking, generous man devoted to his family and community. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
