Rebuild Hope for the Godby Family

My name is Becca Perrin, and I have known the Godbys for 10+ years. On Tuesday January 14th, when both parents were at work, they received a phone call that their house was on fire. Two of their children and a grandchild were at home when the fire broke out. Their daughter, who is in 6th grade, was unable to make it out and has now succumbed to those injuries. The granddaughter and her mom were able to escape through a window onto their porch roof and did not sustain any injuries. They have lost their home, their possessions, and their pets.

Kim and Kris both work in the Supports for Community Living (SCL) field, dedicating their lives to persons with intellectual disabilities. Kris has worked with both the city and the south county schools to help build their wrestling programs.

Many people have asked how they can help. They will need help setting up their new home and furnishing the home. At this time, we are also unsure of what sort of medical expenses have been incurred, but that will also be a concern going forward.
