Rebuild Hope for the Garrison Family
Donation protected
My name is Becky Hancock Mecham. I am reaching out to friends and family today. Asking for help is never an easy task. However, our great nation is known for coming together during horrific, catastrophic events.
In the last few days, as a result of Tropical Storm Debby, Savannah, Georgia, and the outlying counties were affected heavily with flooding. My sister, Lynda Hancock Garrison, her family, and Justin Garrison and his young family have been flooded out of their homes. They have been displaced. For 42 years, they carried flood insurance. The insurance company canceled on them without ever filing a claim. Then came back, offering a rate at three times the premium they had been paying. In today’s economy, this was something they could not financially fund. As fate would have it, over the past few days, they have lost their homes and been displaced.
I am asking all of our friends, family, and strangers to look within your hearts and offer prayers, and financial support to these families that are in need. Their homes will be a devastating loss. It is my hope that everyone, whomever you are, will find it in your heart to give what you can to help those in need. That is the American way. All proceeds will go directly to help with the cost of rebuilding their homes. As you know, inflation today has caused materials and labor to be very expensive. Please find it in your heart to give whatever you can. It is our continued hope and prayer that hearts will be softened and pockets will open to help them be able to rebuild their homes and return safely. Thank you, on behalf of our entire family. God bless everyone, especially those in need, and those who help. The Garrison, Hancock, Mecham, Wallace and Ennis families.
