Rebuild Hope for Tami, Carlos, and Derek

Tami married Carlos after spending her life raising her son Derek as a single mom. Altadena was where our lives as a new family began. For 9 years, it was home.

All of this changed when the Eaton Fire came. We were unable to get any real warning and rushed out of our home with flames encroaching the hillside.

We lost everything in the blaze and now are tasked with rebuilding our lives again.

This is incredibly difficult already for any family, but it is made that much more difficult because Derek is officially psychiatrically disabled due to panic disorder with agoraphobia (a condition he developed as a student in university). He has made it work to the best of his ability, taking remote work whenever possible, but has never really been able to sustain an income as he is homebound.

Furthermore, Tami is recovering from yet another surgery sustained at work, and as such has not been able to bring in as much money as would be possible when working vs. being on disabled leave.

Our lives were difficult before this, but now they seem insurmountable. We are looking to pick up the pieces, but must humbly ask for any aid you can give. We would be eternally grateful. These funds will assist with needs that might not be fully covered by other sources of aid.
