Rebuild Hope for Sherri, Eric, and the Seppala Family
Donation protected
My dearest friend Sherri Seppala, and her family are in need of help. On Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at approximately 1:45 a.m. a semi-tractor trailor (18-wheeler), slammed into the side of the Seppala’s home in Oakfield, NY. The whole family including their two pet dogs, were able to escape safely. This alone was a blessing from God! Sherri, her husband Eric, and their two boys are staying with family temporarily but have lost everything except a few bags of clothes and a couple family heirlooms. Funding would be used for clothing, and other expenses to get the family back on track. The house is uninhabitable, and the Seppala's will need to figure out a new long-term solution.
Sherri is my absolute closest friend, whom I’ve known
for 26 years. The Seppala’s are the type of people that would do anything for anybody, within their power.
Sherri and Eric Seppala have been pillars of the community since they returned to Genesee County in 1994 when Eric finished his military time. Sherri is a nurse and Eric is a retired Genesee County Police Officer. They have raised their three boys in Oakfield in their Drake Street home where Eric was raised. They were active in boy scouts, the Genesee Amateur Hockey Association (GAHA) football boosters, and various church groups during the boy’s youth. They are also currently a member of Grace Baptist Church in Batavia.
We are starting this Go Fund Me campaign to help the Seppala’s get the things they immediately need, and to help prepare for the long journey ahead, as they seek some type of normalcy. Long term plans are presently unknown. Thank you everyone for considering this campaign.
