Help Luis Garcia and his Family of 6 Rebuild After Losing Everything in Durham Flood!!
On July 6th, our friend and teammate, Luis Garcia, lost everything when Tropical Storm Chantal brought catastrophic flooding to Durham, North Carolina. The Eno River surged beyond its limits, and in a matter of hours, Luis’s home was overwhelmed with water—leaving nothing untouched, and nothing salvageable.
Luis has been a part of our work family since 2015, and anyone who knows him will tell you he’s the first to lend a hand, show up with a smile, and give his best every single day. Now, he’s facing an unimaginable challenge: starting over from scratch after losing his home, belongings, and sense of stability.
We’re launching this fundraiser to help Luis cover:
- Temporary housing and relocation expenses
- Replacement of essential items like furniture, clothes, and basic housing supplies
- Cleanup and recovery costs not covered by insurance
- Everyday expenses while he works to rebuild his life
