Rebuild Hope for Lexi and Her Little Boy

Hi, I’m Lexi, a mother of one handsome boy (age 2). I usually donate on here; I never thought I'd be making my own. On Wednesday, January 8th, I was fresh out of the shower, getting dressed, and the most traumatic moment of my life happened to me. It felt like the biggest earthquake ever. I was tumbling over, trying to stand still while my house was collapsing. Meanwhile, my mother was watching my son while I was showering and getting ready. I opened my bedroom door after crying and praying not to die. I saw my whole kitchen gone, everything damaged; I could see the sky in my house. All I thought about was, where is my son? Yelling his name and crying for him. Luckily, he was in a bedroom with my mom, and he ended up okay. He was in complete shock for 4 hours, didn’t even seem like he blinked. Once I could finally see a bit from the smoke, I noticed a jeep inside my house that wiped out my whole kitchen and living room. I was in the hospital due to the glass and cement cutting my foot open.

We now lost our house we were renting, all of our appliances, food, and a lot of items. We’ve lost most of my son's Christmas toys and books, and a brand new stroller. I’m so happy we’ve survived, but now we need to find a place and start from the bottom again, with new furniture since we lost ours. I’m looking for help for our trauma, getting back on our feet, missing work due to this, finding a home, and getting our essential needs. Anything helps
