Rebuild Hope for Leslie and Krupa

To know this woman is to love her…..

On Friday May 16, 2025, Leslie and her daughter Krupa started their day like any other Friday. Wake up, grocery shopping, house chores, etc. I spoke to both of them around 12:15pm - Leslie and I laughed about having nothing to talk about and how it was JUST another Friday. Within two hours came a disaster that we will be able to talk about endlessly as a horrible memory.

Around 2pm, Leslie’s home engulfed in flames within minutes. NOT CONFIRMED REASON OF CAUSE - electrical mishap located in the attic. Total freak accident. No warnings. BY THE GRACE OF GOD - Leslie, her daughter Krupa, and all four of their loved animals were able to remove themselves from the home. Thank you so much to #HCFR and the community for responding within MINUTES. I don’t even remember at this point which other first responders, restoration companies, etc who showed up… but THANK YOU.

They have lost everything. Everything.

There are no words to describe this life altering event. They have each other and their animals & THAT’s ALL THAT MATTERS! Life is so precious and I am forever thankful to God that they are safe and together.

Leslie has been a resident of Horry County / Little River for over 25 years now. HIGHLY RESPECTED in our community, dedicated to working as MUCH as she can, whenever she can, the woman truly never stops. Whether working as a Dental Assistant, or cleaning condos tirelessly, she DOES NOT STOP WORKING!!! This woman would DO ANYTHING FOR ANY OF US!!!!! Whether she knows you or not - Leslie WOULD HELP YOU! A PROUD and DEDICATED member/educator at Our Lady Star of The Sea Catholic Church in NMB, Leslie has quite literally touched every persons life who she has came across. It is now OUR TIME to help someone who CONSTANTLY has helped ANY person in her life. Financially, mentally, emotionally, physically - it doesn’t matter. Leslie has done so much for SO MANY - AND now is the time for us to step up and help her.
