Rebuild Hope for Heidi and Matias Post-Hurricane Helene
Donation protected
My name is Greg Kantner and many of you know me from my cooking videos on YouTube (Gregs Cumberlachia Kitchen) I am here to ask you for help not for myself but two our our friends. I am sure you have seen all the destruction from Hurricane Helene from Florida all the way up and through North Carolina. The sheer devastation that has happened to so many people in so many states is overwhelming.
Our dear friends Heidi and Matias, who we have been friends with since we lived in Ft. Lauderdale, had moved to North Carolina to start their homestead. They were one of the main factors in our moving to Tennessee to set up our homestead as well. They are two of the most beautiful and loving people we know.
This past week, they lost everything they have from the floods that hit their area of North Carolina, more specifically the Poplar, Green Mountain area, which is just across the border from Erwin, Tennessee. This entire area has been devastated.
They quite literally had started their homestead by living in a camper just as we have done. They have given so much to their community and to the animals that they raise. Their hearts are like no other, and now they are in need.
We unfortunately cannot get to them as all the roads and highways are washed out between us and them, but we have been able to send them some money to get by for a short time. This is where I am humbly asking for any help you feel you are able to and willing to do. We ourselves will continue to help them as we can but are asking for anything you can help them with as well.
