Rebuild Hope for Freddy and Tricia Cerrato

Dear friends and family,

It’s with an incredibly heavy heart that I share the devastating loss my dear friends, Tricia and Freddy Cerrato, have experienced. The fire that tore through Pacific Palisades destroyed their livelihood and the life they spent decades building.

Tricia and Freddy’s beloved gym is gone. For over 20 years, they poured their hearts into creating a welcoming, friendly space that wasn’t just about fitness but about a community. Just ask any client, and they will tell you about all the personal connections and the caring people they know from the gym.

As the fire raged, they watched helplessly through their vehicle’s onboard camera, until it went off line and melted from the heat as it got stranded during the evacuation. Watching their gym and everything else they worked for were reduced to ashes was heartbreaking and like out of movie as the building caught fire. Freddy stated “to watch a place you’ve spend two decades doing Jiu Jitsu, training clients and many other happy moments was surreal to see unfold before your eyes”!

Their belongings are now reduced to a handful of clothes, a few vital documents, and their three furry family members, who are now struggling alongside them to adjust to the traumatic changes.

Tricia and Freddy have always been there for their community, professionally and personally caring for the wellbeing of others. They’ve developed life long relationships and friendships who are like extended family. Now, they need our help. Your generosity can make an enormous impact, and no contribution is too small—it all brings them closer to some stability and rebuilding of their future.

Thank you for any support you can offer. I am certain Tricia and Freddy feel uneasy sharing this update, but I know helping them out is the right thing to do and they will be deeply grateful. They will be back!!!
