Rebuild Hope for Esmeraldas

Today, the people of Esmeraldas need urgent support.

Esmeraldas, a coastal city in Ecuador, has faced multiple challenges over the past years, including the devastating 2016 earthquake, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and rising insecurity.

Earlier this year, an oil spill contaminated rivers and beaches, severely affecting communities that depend on fishing and tourism.

More recently, a new earthquake damaged the infrastructure of multiple buildings across the city, worsening conditions for many residents and impacting vital areas that sustain the local economy. As a region that relies heavily on tourism and fishing, the damage has had a major effect on livelihoods.

This fundraiser, in collaboration with Acción Solidaria, a local charity dedicated to supporting Esmeraldas, aims to provide urgent assistance to those affected.

The funds will be used to:

• Provide emergency food supplies and clean drinking water to affected families

• Organize medical brigades to deliver first aid and basic healthcare support

• Support minor repair works for damaged homes and community facilities

• Distribute essential hygiene kits and protective equipment

• Assist in cleaning and restoring public areas
