Heartfelt thoughts, love, and prayers for my partner City of Columbus Animal Control Officer Donald Grey and his family as tragedy touched their lives Jan 15, 2025.
Donnie, his wife Megan Grey, their 2 children, and one dog are safe. Sadly, 3 of the beloved family pets perished during the fire.
I'm working on immediate needs, clothing options, and personal hygiene items, food, monetary donations, etc that were completely destroyed by fire. No item too large or small. We're still processing everything. We're finding things we haven't considered by the minute.
If anyone has anything, anything at all they can send to help, it will be greatly appreciated. Everything is gone. There is no insurance to help ease the blow. And as perfectly said by the Packet, the man that has required shelter for so many is now without shelter himself.
As a community, as a friend, as an acquaintance.... let's come together now and do what we can to help get this little family back on their feet so they can get back to helping all the "paws" that still need them with us.
You can reach me at City of Columbus Animal Control to schedule item donations. Please bare with me as I continue to try and serve the community animals also. Donnie will be at home seeing to his family and the needs of his young children.
