Rebuild Hope for Dini's Family

Hi, I'm Dini, a stay-at-home mom and sewist, with one ASD child. My husband is a NAVY veteran and public service (life guard, paramedics, firefighter) retiree. Our home got hit hard by Milton; we lost so many things, but the thing I am most grateful for is that my husband, our son, our pet, me, and our friends are safe. We have been living in Englewood, in the border of Sarasota and Charlotte County for almost 10 years. We had experienced couple times of hurricane but never this strong.. This time, unfortunately our home and our neighborhood got hit by the hurricane and the surge was pretty strong. The surge outside our home was probably about 2-3 feet, and inside our home, it was about from 5 inches to 1 foot. We evacuated for 2days and came home to see most of our belongings were up side down, pushed away, broken in pieces by the strength of this wind. It breaks our hearts to see the same things happened to our neighborhood.. Mother Nature is so powerful and we always pray and ask for apologize to her if we ever hurt her.. We've never experienced this before, although we always followed the safety instructions, still the hurricane aftermath situation is very shocking to us and our community.. Please forgive me if I'm asking for your generosity and support to fix our home. I also want to help my friend and community who also got hit by this hurricane. I'm not looking for luxury.
