Rebuild Hope for Debra and Ian

Hey everybody, my name is Sarah. I live in Massachusetts, but I'm raising money for my Aunt Debbie.

Recently, Debra Halleck and her son Ian of Burnet, Texas, faced a series of unfortunate events. After losing their home to a fire, they were forced to relocate to an apartment. Tragically, they subsequently were hit with the floods during the Fourth of July weekend, resulting in the loss of everything they owned.

Last night, July 24th, Debra was found after suffering a stroke and a seizure. While now awake and slowly responsive, the recovery process will be arduous and long.

Ian, having lost his home and car in the floods, had to move in with a friend an hour away. Ian is Debra’s sole support during this challenging time. We are actively raising funds to assist Ian in obtaining a car, enabling him to commute the hour to the hospital each day to serve as Debra’s health care proxy while she fights the fight.

Any contribution, regardless of its size, would be greatly appreciated. We hope that these funds will provide the necessary support to help them overcome this and regain their footing. They could *really* use a break right about now.
