Rebuild Hope for Dave's Family After Fire

Around 11:45pm Dave woke to a loud explosion. As he yelled " What was that!" He went searching the house for the issue. I got up and opened the bedroom French door to the deck and a flame shot above my head. "FIRE!"
I was able to grab a pair of shorts and the items on my night stand. Dave grabbed the fire extinguisher and tried to put the fire out..But, it was too late. Way too late. We could hear the rafters in the roof starting to fall. I ran to Zachs room. By this time the smoke alarms had gone off, because I had opened the door to my bedroom which let the smoke in the home.
Zach was up but confused as we had all been sleeping. I screamed at him FIRE --GET OUT NOW! He managed the dogs and got them out of the house. I got them loaded into the truck.
The Sheriff helped Dave get the trucks pulled away from the house. We couldn't get back in to get the keys...
By this time all of our immediate neighbors were all outside trying to help in any way possible. I was able to put the dogs in the neighbors garage.
All 5 family members made it out. With minor burns, scrapes and bruises. We had 2 family members staying with us until they could find their own place. Everyone one made it out with only the clothes we had on. Zach and I didn't even have time to get shoes, glasses or wallets.
I called 911 at 11:49pm. Right before the fire trucks arrived the roof collapsed at 1220am. We are all blessed to still be alive. We are thankful for our local Volunteer Fire dept. They did what they could. After inspection our home is a Total Loss and cannot go in to look for any items.
