I’m Tzan Morrell — a nurse who believes in care, community, and creating hope wherever I can.

Our beloved town of Black River, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, has been devastated by Hurricane Melissa. Our family businesses, Las Vegas Café Ja and LV Suites, were destroyed, along with our home and many, if not all, homes in our community. We’re raising funds to provide relief supplies, help our neighbors get back on their feet and rebuild.

In just a few hours, the storm ripped through our town, tearing away roofs, flooding homes, and destroying livelihoods. The places that once brought joy and togetherness now stand in ruin.

Las Vegas Café and LV Suites, were more than just buildings. They represented hope, work, and community by employing locals, welcoming travelers, and creating opportunities for people in our town. Today, those spaces are gone, and many of our neighbors face the same heartbreaking loss.

Our Mission

We are determined to rebuild, not just for ourselves, but for the people who made these spaces feel like home.

With your support, we will :

• Provide food, clean water, and essential supplies to families who’ve lost everything.

• Reopen our kitchen to cook and feed those in need during the recovery.

• Assist nearby families and small businesses affected by the hurricane to rebuild safely.

• Rebuild Las Vegas Café to restore local jobs and community pride.

Every dollar raised will go directly to helping the people of Black River, St. Elizabeth recover, rebuild, and regain their footing after this disaster.

Why This Matters

Our community has given so much love and hospitality to everyone who’s ever visited Jamaica, and now we need your love. We’re not waiting for large organizations or government programs to find us. We’re stepping up for our neighbors, our team, and our island.

We know the road ahead won’t be easy, but our faith and love for our community keep us strong. We are committed to rebuilding what was lost, not just the walls and roofs, but the heart and spirit of Black River.
