Recently, a devastating house fire destroyed the home of a hardworking mother and her seven children—five boys and two girls—leaving them with nothing but the clothes they were wearing and each other. In the midst of this loss stands one of her sons, a United States Marine Corps applicant, determined to serve his country even as his family faces one of the hardest moments of their lives.

This young man has answered the call to serve something greater than himself. He is actively pursuing the honor of becoming a United States Marine, built on values of honor, courage, and commitment. But while he prepares to give everything to his nation, his family now needs help rebuilding the very foundation of their lives.
