This morning at 5:00AM our family’s life changed in an instant. A sudden fire broke out in our home while we were all sleeping, leaving us with nothing but the clothes on our backs. Thankfully, everyone made it out safely, but our home and nearly all of our belongings were lost.

The fire spread so quickly that there was no time to save essentials , clothes, furniture, family photos, and keepsakes were all destroyed. Our hearts are heavy as we face the reality of starting over from scratch.

Thankfully everyone and all our pets made it out the house safely by the grace of God. Some of you may know me and my family by a nonprofit sanctuary for neglected or animals in need. We currently have a few animals being relocated until we can find somewhere to relocate. Unfortunately everything was destroyed by fire, water or smoke.

Insurance will help with some of the damage, but it won’t cover the immediate needs we’re facing from replacing clothing and household items to securing a safe place to live.

We’re reaching out for help from our friends, family, and community to get back on our feet. Every donation, no matter how small will go towards helping my family and the animals we have to ensure we all are okay.

We are so grateful for the love, prayers, and support that have already been shown to us. This experience has been heartbreaking, but we’re determined to rebuild one day at a time with the help of out community.
