We are Shannon's Gardens, a family-owned business that was destroyed by the flood from Hurricane Helene here in Newport, TN. Growing plants and produce is our pride and joy. Customers would come from miles around to buy items or just to visit and talk. There was always sunshine and love expected when we'd come to work from sun up to sun down. We felt safe and worked so hard every day. Then all of a sudden, we lost all of that in a matter of hours. It didn't feel safe anymore. It's all gone and washed away. The amount of devastation is gut-wrenching and heartbreaking. We served our community, town, and even as far as the country, the right way. We need help to get that back. Our feet are not on solid ground. Each one of our hearts is broken completely. In hopes of fundraising, we plan to build back as soon as possible. We will replace our produce store, fix the damaged land, repair our greenhouses, and stock our equipment that was lost. Every drop of sweat that will be put back into the improvements will be a sign of gratitude towards every helping hand. We appreciate all the love and kindness every person gives with all of our hearts.
