Please Help Brian Olsen, owner of Paws on the River & Casita Blu Rebuild After the Ingram Flood
On the night of the Ingram/Hunt, Texas flood, everything changed. Casita Blu and Paws on the River—places built with love, care, and purpose—were devastated.
Casita Blu has been welcoming guests since 2014, offering peaceful stays along the river and, at times, a place of refuge for community members needing temporary housing. In 2022, Paws on the River was added—a safe, happy space where dogs of all kinds could run, play, and be cared for.
Now, both have been severely impacted by this flood.
The floodwaters tore through fencing and kennels. Plumbing is gone. Tools and supplies we relied on every day are lost. What once felt like home—for people and pets alike—is now covered in mud and heartbreak.
We don’t know how to move forward without help.
If you’re able, we’re asking for your support to:
• Replace the fencing and kennels so dogs can return
• Restore plumbing and utilities to serve guests and community members again
• Rebuild with the basic tools and materials we lost
These spaces meant so much to so many. If you've ever stayed here, sent your dog here, or simply believe in places built with heart—we hope you’ll consider helping us piece it all back together.
Thank you for reading and thank you for caring.
