Help Dana & Heart & Hustle Salon Rebuild After Devastating Fire
On Monday night, tragedy struck our family and community when Heart & Hustle Salon on Prospect Ave in Danville was completely destroyed in a structure fire. In just moments, everything was gone.
Five amazing stylists — Salon Owners Dana Johnson & Gina Clark, and stylists Debbie Medeiros, Kiley Gooding, and Corey Lawrence — lost not only their place of work, but all of their professional tools, color, supplies, and personal belongings that make their careers possible.
This small, tight-knit team poured their hearts into creating a space that represented passion, artistry, and community. From the color cabinets to the coffee bar, every detail was built with love and hard work. Now, everything — from salon retail to every last brush and blow dryer — is gone.
The total loss is estimated at over $50,000, including all salon retail, color lines (Redken Shades, Redken Cover Fusion, Goldwell, Pulp Riot, Pravana, Kevin Murphy, and Code Color), furniture, and equipment.
As fellow salon owners and family of Dana (Medeiros) Johnson we are heartbroken to see what she’s lost — but we know this team’s spirit and determination are stronger than ever. We’re asking our community to help them rebuild from the ashes and return to doing what they love most: making others feel beautiful.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps get them one step closer to reopening their doors.
Please share, donate, and support Heart & Hustle Salon as it begins to rebuild. ❤️
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
