About this fundraiser

On July 27, 2026, a devastating tornado struck the community and caused extensive damage throughout Menasha’s Hart Park, including the complete destruction of the Hart Park Skate Park in Menasha, WI. This fundraiser is for the skate park and for the children, teenagers, and families who have long depended on it as a place to gather, stay active, and enjoy time together. Its loss is especially heartbreaking because of what it represents. In 2002, a group of teenagers known as the Skateboard Club saw a need in their community and worked hard to turn their vision into reality. What they built became far more than ramps and concrete. It became a meaningful part of community life, with many of the young people who once skated there now bringing their own children back to enjoy the same space and memories.

Funds raised will help rebuild the Menasha’s Hart Park Skate Park, a project expected to cost about $1.5 million. Restoring it would bring back an affordable and accessible place for children and teenagers to be active, build friendships, develop skills, and simply be kids. In a community where many children live at or below the poverty level, that kind of safe recreational space matters deeply. The original skate park existed because young people believed they could make a difference. Now it is the community’s turn to carry that vision forward.
