HELP REBUILD HARRIS GRILL

LARDA opened the Harris Grill (v2.0) in Shadyside in December of 2004. Four friends joined together and jumped off a cliff into restaurant ownership. We’ve had highs and lows over the last fifteen years but we can honestly say that we have created a restaurant “family” that encompasses employees, friends, vendors and customers.
In the early hours of Feb 6, 2019, The Harris Grill in Shadyside suffered a devastating fire. Initial investigations point to a faulty electrical outlet. While most of the fire was contained to the first floor, damages are estimated in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
We do have insurance and we plan to rebuild. However, our reserves are limited due to the launch of our downtown location at 245 Fourth Avenue. At this time, we have put all of our cash reserves from Shadyside into Downtown. In addition, there will be a necessary lag in receiving the insurance reimbursements. In the interim, we need to pay our employees, vendors and suppliers.
Many of our dear friends have asked what they could do for us. Please consider helping us at this difficult time. We wouldn’t ask if we honestly didn’t need it. Please donate if you can. We look forward to greeting you in the new and improved Shadyside Harris Grill later this year.
