GET READY FARM. We are raising money to recover from the Kona Low storm that affected many farms in Hawaii.
We can't sell food and have to regrow everything. This helps us recover and not completely live in the black as we work to rebuild and get back on our feet.
OUR STORY
The land remembers everything.
It remembers every seed planted with intention, every hand that turned the soil, every community gathered around a table of food that came straight from the earth beneath their feet. In Waimānalo, O'ahu, Get Redy Farm has stewarting this land through a regenerative farm that grows food, people, and connections. It grows a food system that dares to look different.
Then March came.
Historic flooding swept through O'ahu and left Get Redy Farm starting from zero. Not set back. Not slowed down. Zero.
What does zero look like:
Soil nutrients are aturated, displaced, and compromised. Crops are gone. The income that keeps this farm alive is on pause for at least two months before anything can even be planted again.
That's more than a delay, it's an existential gap.
Meet the farmer.
Hi, I'm Nai Vasha, and I identify as a "Freak of Nature". I grew up in Stockton, California, and grew up bigger in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and New York. I'm a creative strategist, ultra-marathoner, and multidisciplinary artist who has bet everything on a bold idea: that food is more than fuel, that farming is more than agriculture, and that a community built around regenerative land could disrupt the broken food systems that have failed Hawai'i for too long.
Get Redy Farm is that bet made physical. Field days, wellness programming, local markets, intergenerational community — it all happens in the field.
She didn't stop when the flood came. She started organizing.
What your donation actually does:
This campaign is raising $5,000 . This will help us recover damaged infrastructure and purchase specific tools, seeds, soil amendments, and resources needed. Think of it less like charity and more like being a silent member of the crew.
Every dollar has a job the moment it arrives.
- $25 — seeds and supplies to begin replanting
- $50 — small tools and nursery supplies
- $100 — compost and amendments to begin restoring what the flood took
- $250 — a significant piece of the infrastructure puzzle
- $500+ — you're anchoring this recovery in a real and lasting way
Why now matters more than later.
Nature doesn't wait. The window to plant, to restore soil health, to get this ecosystem back into a rhythm — it's measured in weeks, not months. Every day this farm sits idle is another day added to the recovery timeline. Another week of lost income. Another harvest that won't come.
Mahalo for seeing this, for sharing this, and for showing up — even from far away.
You don't have to be in Waimānalo to be part of this. Your share is a seed. Your donation is water. And together, we will grow this back.
