Thanks to a few outside donations, WE HAVE MET OUR GOAL. We are safe for the months of November and December. I seriously cannot put into words how grateful I am for our village and the people who came together to support bubby and I. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much. Hi, my name is Hanna, and I’m a new mom to a beautiful baby boy. This isn’t easy for me to share — I’ve always tried to handle things on my own — but I recently had to leave a violent and unsafe situation to protect my son and myself.

We moved across the country to start over somewhere safe, but the transition has been incredibly hard. I’m currently on maternity leave, and even though I’m doing everything I can to stretch what I have, my finances have taken a huge hit, and they denied my last 4 weeks of maternity pay and I have not gotten an answer as to why.

Between rent, bills, and the basic necessities for my baby, I’m struggling to keep up, and I am now facing EVICTION with a newborn in the winter for being 2 weeks late on rent.

I’m asking for help just to get us through this difficult chapter — to keep a roof over our heads and make sure my son has what he needs until I’m back on my feet and working again. The funds I am looking for are to simply cover only 2 months of rent while I go back to work.

Any amount, no matter how small, truly makes a difference. If you can’t donate, sharing our story would mean just as much.
