Nic's terrifying Skydive for Chrisa Stray Rescue

About me

Hi My Names Nic and thanks so much for looking at my page! I know there are many charities needing help so let me tell you why i'm supporting this one!

I first noticed Chrisa when she put an appeal on Twitter for help, her shelter in Greece had been devastated by a flood and she was desperate to be able to keep her dogs safe and dry.  I sent a donation and was really impressed when she updated everyone who donated personally with how she had spent the donations.  The money you have all sent has helped and with your kind donations building work has started!! THANK. YOU . The problem there is huge and with more dogs and cats coming in constantly the bills keep growing! Chrisa gets no support whatsoever in Greece and we are so grateful for everyone who helps.

But there is still more to do! and so I am going to face my fears on 11th September 2021 I will be jumping out of a plane to do a tandem skydive to raise money.  I promise I will earn every penny of your sponsorship!   I am dizzy and sick going up a ladder! I get vertigo when I look down and someone is going to have to push me out of this plane! BUT it's worth it to help these dogs and cats and support Chrisa in her amazing work.

Please scroll down to find out more about Chrisa and her animals.  I will be posting updates soon to show how the shelter is improving and how you are helping.

This is privately funded by the amazing TIna Tickton (Thank you xx) who bought me the skydive (which was generously donated by Red Letter Days) in the auction we held to raise money for this charity and so every single penny of your sponsorship will go directly to Chrisa Stray Rescue!

Please see this video to see how much work needed to be done to give the dogs a warm dry winter but also how loved and cared for Chrisas rescues are...  conditions are challenging but look at those waggy tails and full bellies! Chrisa does an amazing job but she does need our help.

About Chrisa

When Chrisa Ntinou was 15, she saw a man throwing newborn puppies into a bin. Shocked, she rescued them, found their mum and raised them herself. Once the puppies were old enough, she re-homed them, but she kept coming across animals in need and so Chrisa's Stray Rescue was born. Now 25, Chrisa has 150 dogs at her shelter in Trikala, Greece, as well as cats and kittens.

Chrisa works hard, along with her supportive partner, to re-home the dogs after they have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. She does everything from feeding to medical care, to home checks herself.  Chrisa also goes round the villages feeding strays on the streets and tries to educate people to care properly for their animals.

This dog  had been shot in the spine by local hunters, a common occurrence

After rescue and surgery

Chrisa has now found this dog a loving family

Earlier this year Trikala was hit by a flood, which almost destroyed Chrisa's shelter. She has used donations to buy temporary dog houses to keep the animals safe, but with winter approaching this is no longer enough. Your donations will help buy the materials she needs to reconstruct her shelter and ensure her rescue animals have somewhere warm and dry to sleep this winter, as well as food, bedding, toys and the vet bills.

Follow Chrisa and find out more about her work  @GrStrays  on Twitter and me Nic Bebb  to keep up to date with fundraising initiatives

Please help and donate, every single penny will be put to good use and is gratefully received!
