Rebuild Fawzy's Family Furniture Store in Jacksonville

Hi, my name is Izzy. My father, Fawzy, has owned and operated a small family-run furniture and mattress store (Furniture Mattress Depot) in Jacksonville for the past 15 years. A business he built from the ground up through years of hard work, dedication, and service to the community.

In the early morning hours of October 12, three men driving a stolen vehicle lost control and crashed directly into my dad’s store. The impact destroyed the storefront and damaged thousands of dollars’ worth of furniture and mattresses. Moments later, the car caught on fire, forcing firefighters to drench the entire store to put out the flames — causing even more water damage inside.

Because the vehicle was stolen, insurance will not cover any of the destruction. My father now faces huge repair costs to replace the glass front, damaged furniture, and store fixtures — all while losing income as the business remains closed during repairs.

This store is his only source of income, and our family depends on it to get by. Any donation, no matter how small, would help relieve the heavy burden he’s facing and allow him to begin rebuilding what he worked so hard for.
