Rebuild Ellen's Home
This page is being run by Mike and Lauren Pallante. During Tropical Storm Isaias a tornado tore through Cape May County, New Jersey. Our Aunt Ellen Mallen's home was ripped apart. The tornado sheared off an enclosed front porch, roof and brought a tree down on her car. In 15 seconds the storm caused enough damage that she and her pets cannot live in the home until it is repaired. Ellen's insurance has lapsed (as a result of health issues she is experiencing in her golden years). Our family and friends are working together to help her get by day to day. The contractor has given us a five figure estimate ($10k) on repairs to the home and we're looking to help her raise part of the funds on this site.
When my sister and I were young Ellen would drive down from Cape May to visit our mother and always bring us a gift. Usually something small- toys when we were very young, jewelry and tapes as we grew up. When she visited the house we would run to the door to see what gifts she had. Please help us return that feeling of excitement and gratitude by helping us repair her home!
