This is Daniel Fort, the local independent owner of one Eggs Up Grill franchise location in Hendersonville, NC. This is family owned and operated and we employ 29 people.

It is no surprise that Hurricane Helene issued widespread devastation and destruction to many parts of the Southeast. You may also know that the Hendersonville and Asheville area, including Henderson and Buncombe County, NC are some of the worst hit with massive flooding and property loss. Unfortunately, Eggs Up Grill Hendersonville was a victim to the flooding as our building was 4ft under water.

There was no flood insurance for the restaurant, so any repairs and employee costs will have to be out of pocket - is 5-7x what we have on hand, which we WILL be fully investing 100% towards this end. We will be taking all necessary steps to prioritize the safety of our team and our guests. The total cost of all losses, of restoration, rebuilding improvements and furniture/equipment replacement will be between $100,000 - $125,000. So, we are aiming to raise $100,000, which will help cover restoration beyond what we can do AND also some lost wages for our employees. You can trust we will utilize and steward any resources well, as my 3rd party CPA accountant will help oversee all funds, and wherever we may see be under budget, we will fully use the funds to cover all employees lost time wages, as well as the local efforts in Hendersonville for other citizens and businesses in the community that did NOT have flood insurance..

We are taking swift action in order to ensure we can serve the community, as well as take care of our employees to return to work so that they can provide for their families and repairs and property loss they are experiencing as well. Our business has served and helped many employees and many people and organizations in our community. We know that God called us here to this very city and location for a reason and we are walking in faith that the Lord wants us to remain here for a positive impact.

We have already contracted ATI Disaster Recovery Services, a national company specializing in natural disaster emergency service, remediation and restoration, namely floods and hurricanes. They work with international brands as Hilton, Marriott, Blackstone Realty across the US.
