Help Deisy Rebuild After Her Heroic Act During a Devastating Fire

On the evening of Friday, July 18, just after 9:00 PM, a horrific fire broke out in the parking structure of the apartment community at 850 Citrus Dr. in La Habra. Within moments, flames tore through the lot—engulfing cars and the parking structures.

But in the middle of that nightmare, one person put everything on the line to save others: our on-site manager, Deisy.

With only seconds to react, Deisy did not run to save her car. She didn’t think of herself. She ran door to door, banging, yelling, waking sleeping residents—doing everything in her power to make sure no one was left behind.

She had enough time to save her own vehicle, but she chose people over property. Her only concern was getting every tenant to safety.

The fire completely engulfed the parking structure in less than three minutes. Seventeen vehicles were destroyed, including Deisy’s only form of transportation.

Now, we’re asking for your help to support someone who gave everything in that moment.

We hope to raise $10,000 to help Deisy purchase a vehicle so she can rebuild and continue doing what she does best—serving and protecting her community.
