Rebuild Dave & Beth Limmer's Barn at Restoration Retreat
Donation protected
Friends of Dave & Beth Limmer around the world. Near the end of June their barn burned to the ground along with tack, feed, tractors, bailers & a lifetimes worth of tools. (at the Restoration Retreat/their home). Insurance is paying less than 1/3 of the cost to replace.
How many of you have had them invest time in you, your church, your marriage, and or your spiritual growth? Through a sermon, class, counseling session, men’s or women’s encounter. Or even just pulling you aside after church and caring for you, sometimes late nights, multiple times over the years. How many of you have had them answer the phone and think how can these high caliber people make time to talk to me and the 1000’s of others that you know they do. Dave and Beth have always been generous with their time and wouldn’t dream of charging. Although, their counseling services would fall under professional services and be charged for. Sessions with them are often worth far more than those paid for.
Please don’t read this text and think someone else will donate. Sacrifice the way they have sacrificed for us for 50 years. Please don’t just throw an amount in and move on. When giving, ask yourself does this hurt a lot and is it a hard amount to give. If it doesn’t hurt is it really a sacrifice? There are amounts that don’t hurt and you’ll never think about it again. This isn’t the time for those. Some of you, $500 won’t hurt. Some of you, $1000 won’t hurt. Sacrifice eating out for a month or that new shopping spree you were gonna go on. Or put off buying that expensive toy for a few months. Let’s all come together, dig deep and make this happen. With all that said even $5 is going to help!! It all adds up! And the widow who gave a smaller amount Jesus said gave more than those that gave out of their surplus.
I’m going to be the 1st person to donate and put my money where my mouth is. I had to multiply my amount twice till it hurt.
Other practical ways you can do to jump on board and help this happen:
1. Spread the word! Ask an individual or church that you know Dave has poured into if they know about the fire. Then be bold and ask them to donate. You know people I don't and can make a difference where I can't.
2. Take 30 seconds and SHARE this post.
3. Offer time to help rebuild or clean up.
Let’s rally around these guys and give them back some love they have freely given to us for many years.
