Our story

Our beloved community of Cumberland Clarendon, Jamaica has been devastated by Hurricane Melissa. many families have lost their homes, crops, and personal belongings, Roofs have been torn away, roads are blocked, and countless residents are without food, clean water or electricity.

We Elaine Dammar, Zilla Smith, Rosalee Stewart and Cynthia Levy are coming together to raise urgent relief funds to support our neighbors and friends as they recover from this disaster. We are residing in the United states of America but still have strong ties with our small island of Jamaica, such as our mother, brother, lots of cousins and friends.

Cumberland is a small but strong community-and with your help, we can begin to rebuild what's been lost.

HOW THE FUNDS WILL HELP

All donations will go directly to food and clean water for affected families

Emergency shelter and home repairs

Medical and hygiene supplies

support for farmers and small shop keepers who have lost their livelihoods

community rebuilding efforts once immediate needs are met

We will ensure full transparency by sharing updates, photos, and details about how the funds are used to help the people of Cumberland Clarendon.

HOW THE FUNDS WILL BE MANAGED

A dedicated relief account will be used exclusively for this GoFundMe campaign.

All donations will be withdrawn directly by the organizers and used solely for community relief and rebuilding efforts.

A simple budget report will be shared every 3 weeks outlining
