Our friend Cassie recently experienced the unimaginable. After growing up in the North Shore and relocating to the North Woods of Wisconsin with her two children, their home tragically caught fire this past weekend. Nothing was salvageable—everything was lost. Thankfully, Cassie and her kids are safe. Her children were in Chicago at the time of the fire, but heartbreakingly, the family lost their beloved dog in the blaze.

Cassie and her children are now starting completely from scratch. At the time of the fire, she had only the clothes on her back. With summer winding down and the school year fast approaching, the priority is getting her kids everything they need to begin the year with a sense of normalcy and stability. They’ll need clothing, school supplies, household essentials—truly everything.

All donations will go directly toward helping Cassie and her kids rebuild their lives and establish a new sense of home. Cassie has been deeply moved by the kindness and support already shown, but the financial strain of starting over is significant. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference.
