Dear sister communities of Ecovilla, Alegría, and Tacotal,

For 17 years, we have cared for this road that unites us, step by step. Tacotal, though small, depends entirely on this path for its residents to reach their homes. Today, the heavy rains have taken their toll, much of the material was washed away, leaving the road deformed and unsafe to travel.

The municipality has kindly offered machinery and materials to cement 240-300 meters of the road, but has asked the community to cover the labor costs, estimated at ₡24,000 per meter, for approximately ₡7,500,000 ($15,000).

We make this call for community solidarity, not out of obligation but from the heart: if just 200 families contribute $75, we can secure the steepest slopes and the bridges that connect us. Every contribution —large or small— is a collective gift, a seed of care, co-responsibility, and unity among sister communities.

With hope and trust in our shared power, we invite you to take this step together.

Let Ecovilla, Alegría and Tacotal be part of this living fabric of solidarity that sustains us and reminds us who we truly are: a community that cares, creates, and shares the road.

With appreciation and hope,

Tacotal Administration
