With heavy hearts, we share that Bowser’s Dog Services, located in North Huntingdon, suffered an unimaginable tragedy on January 7, 2026 when their kennel facility caught fire. The fire resulted in a complete loss of the structure and, heartbreakingly, the loss of six dogs.
Two of the dogs were beloved personal dogs of Nate and Jodi, and the other four were entrusted to them for board and train. The loss is devastating beyond words. As you can imagine, they are heartbroken and trying to process the unimaginable.
At Whiskey Acres Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, we want to help lessen the stress and burden they are facing by coming together as a community to support them as they begin the long road to rebuilding.
As many of you know, Jodi and Nate are deeply passionate about “teaching dogs to humans.” Their lives, hearts, and purpose revolve around dogs and training, and the impact they’ve made reaches far beyond their facility.
If you can find it in your heart to help us help them, we would be incredibly grateful. No amount is too big or too small. Every gesture of support matters and reminds them they are not alone during this heartbreaking time.
Thank you for standing with them.
Thank you for loving dogs the way they do.
Thank you for being a community that shows up when it matters most.
*At the request of Nate and Jodi, any excess funds will be given to a charity of the donors choice or back to the donor. *
