HELP SIMONA REPAIR AND REBUILD BLACK SPRING BOOKS

Our beloved Black Spring Books flooded. The shop has become a cornerstone of our NYC/BK writing and reading community, due entirely to the vision, generosity, and tireless work of Simona Blatt, who created the warmest bookstore, event space, living room, backyard, and second home for so many.

The flash floods on July 18th left the basement of the shop wrecked, and inventory destroyed.

BSB needs our help to repair what was damaged and lost in this storm, and also to fortify against future flooding. We are living climate change and the floods will come again.

Please share far and wide to help one of our best community bookstores stay safe, now and long into the future.
