Help Us Restore Black River United Pentecostal Church — A Community Home for Over 55 Years
For more than five decades, the Black River United Pentecostal Church has been a place of refuge, faith, and unwavering support for the people of Black River and surrounding communities.
This is not just a church — it is a home.
Founded over 55 years ago by Bishop Archer, this space has welcomed everyone with open arms. No membership required. No barriers. Just a place where people could come as they are and be received as family.
It is where babies were blessed, couples were married, loved ones were laid to rest, and countless lives were supported through prayer, counseling, and practical help.
Nearly every household in our community has been touched by this church in some way.
Today, that same place — our place — has been significantly damaged by hurricane Melissa.
But this is not the end of its story.
As a community, we are coming together to rebuild. People are ready to give their time, their skills, and their labor. Tradespeople from near and far have already stepped forward.
Now, we need your help to make restoration possible.
Our goal is to have the church fully restored by May 8, 2026.
To achieve this, we urgently need to fund:
* A complete roof replacement
* Electrical rewiring
* Windows and tiling repairs
* Fans, fixtures, and fittings
* Sound equipment
This is a major project, but we believe in the power of community.
Every donation — no matter the size — brings us one step closer to reopening the doors of this sacred space.
If you have ever been blessed by this church, supported by this community, or simply believe in preserving places that serve others with love and dignity, we ask you to stand with us.
*Please donate today and share this campaign with others.*
Many hands make light work — and together, we can rebuild not just a building, but a legacy of faith, service, and belonging.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
