My name is Sol Aponte, and I am the CEO of Art Melanated, a platform dedicated to celebrating and uplifting Black artists and art enthusiasts. Our mission is rooted in community, and today, I’m reaching out to support one of our own.

A cherished member of our Art Melanated community, Brett King, recently experienced a devastating house fire. While the home was not a total loss, the damage to the kitchen and one of the bedrooms has left Brett and his family in a difficult position. As we step into the holiday season—a time for giving and togetherness—I’m asking for your help to ensure our friend can recover and rebuild.
