Please Help Me Recover After a Hit-and-Run and Rebuild a Safe Place for My Cat, Midnight and I

Last June, after finishing my final delivery as a DoorDash driver, I was hit by a vehicle… and they never stopped.

Since that moment, my life has not been the same.

That accident left me with:

• Severe osteoarthritis in my left hip

• Ongoing pain and mobility issues

• And a level of physical limitation I’ve never had to navigate like this before

On top of that, I was already living with injuries from a car accident when I was 17 that have impacted me most of my life.

Then on January 11th, I suffered a slip and fall that made everything worse.

Since then, simple things—walking, standing, even getting through a full day—have become incredibly difficult.

Because of my physical condition, I was no longer able to keep up with work the way I had been.

I also reached a point where I couldn’t continue taking care of my mother or maintaining her home, which was something deeply important to me.

Everything began to unravel at once.

Right now, I’ve been given a small opportunity to stabilize my situation and begin moving forward again.

But I can’t do it alone.

My goal is to secure a safe, stable place where I can:

• Recover from the injuries I’ve been dealing with

• Prepare for the surgeries I need

• And reunite with my cat, Midnight, who has been a huge source of comfort and emotional support through all of this

Midnight isn’t just a pet—he’s family. And being separated from him during this time has been incredibly hard on us both.
