The Greater Impact House project will bring sustainability and a health conscious awareness to a city that struggles so severely with the disease of addiction. Only four houses on the block are occupied, most of them in complete disrepair, so the project is bringing more life and good intention into a crumbling neighborhood that deserves revitalization.
We now have a new roof that was reconstructed in autumn 2021!
The next step of the rebuild will be plumbing and an upgraded bathroom/shower room. (There is one operable bathroom)
With your financial help, we can get the next step of the inside area going.

This one of a kind residency will allow space for community to engage in the area by creating a gathering space and day space use for visiting creatives that want to experience Detroit hands on.
Renovation of the house continues with rebuilding the roof and planning workshops to include working collaboratively with public institutions, neighbors, and local businesses while improving the overall livability of a community. It takes one house at a time, and we are working to improve a parcel of Detroit and the quality of life of others.
Risks and Challenges
It is a risk to create independent art. There is no insurance when things go haywire. We are grateful to be able to get a chance to raise the funds to finish this piece of art. As it is nearing the finish line, we don't fear it's completion artistically, but financial support is crucial as we continue shaping and upgrading the Greater Impact House project in Detroit.
To be even more transparent with finances as far as the initial startup: we have invested an additional $25K in electrical updates, initial plumbing for a working bathroom, roof patching, security, internet and keeping up with electricity bills for the Greater Impact House.
Fund Allocation Estimates
Roof Cost: $23k
Porch Cost: $10k
Water heater installation: $10K
New insulation and drywall: $20k
Venting installation: $15K
Proposal costs: $5k
Total estimated initial expenses = $98,000 +/-

Greater Alexander and Music Creation
Ever since letting people into my craft, I have had an overwhelming amount of response that has helped me open up. People have created music videos, drawn artwork, taken stunning photographs, written articles, and even painted exclusive art on a piggy bank for me to enhance my street performance. I’m thankful for all I have received towards the release of Positive Love and Spilled Love. Both albums have most recently helped fund the beginning steps towards acquiring and rebuilding the Greater Impact House.
Now, I'm set to release three albums that will be the center of focus to raise funds and help make this residency space a reality.
You can listen to a preview of the three albums here:

Here's to creating good things for communities. I am so proud to tell you that any and every cent that goes into this art will go directly to a person doing their work to make this project come alive. Every cent will go towards supporting the potential future of reviving a part of Detroit.
