Salaam brothers and sisters,

My family is personally involved in rebuilding a mosque in Sudan. There was a small mosque in the village before, but it was destroyed during the war. After everything the community has been through, alhamdulillah they’ve begun rebuilding it, bigger and better insha’Allah — but there is still a long way to go.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for them a house in Jannah.”

With this intention, they’ve reached out to us to see if anyone would like to be part of this sadaqa jariya and help bring this place of worship back to the community.

This mosque will not just be a place of prayer. It will be a place of daily and Jumu’ah prayers, rest and refuge for travellers and those in need, shelter and safety for the community, access to clean running water,  a space that welcomes everyone and turns no one away at time where it’s much needed. Every single prayer made there — every sajdah, every Friday gathering — you will share in the reward, bi’ithnillah. 

Even beyond that, any good that comes from it carries reward too. if a tree is planted and gives shade, if a person rests there, even if animals benefit from it — it all adds to your scale. This is more than just building walls — it’s building a legacy that continues to give and continues to add good deeds to your scale indefinitely until the end of time.

Funds will be used for:

• building materials

• labour costs

• essential construction to complete the mosque
