$15,000 desperately needed by December 7th, please help me save my home in my journey to rebuild my life!
Full story below:
Hello friends, I’ve been holding off on reaching out for help and trying to do it on my own for as long as I can, but I’ve reached a point where I realistically can’t do it by myself anymore and have no other option than to reach out to my community for assistance.
I am currently 2 and a half years in recovery from severe addiction, lived in a sober house for 18 months, and have been working steadily for about 2 years. After leaving the sober house with a strong foundation to start rebuilding my life at home, I moved back to the wreckage and neglect that I left behind after going to the ER, and then went to rehab and straight to a sober house from there.
In the wake of my addiction, the house was left with no power, no running water, overdue back taxes (the $15,000 I urgently need by the 7th is the minimum needed to save my home from being seized!), and the house is in need of several structural repairs. These are the struggles I came home to, and it has been a severe challenge trying to overcome them, especially with the cold season rapidly approaching.
My home is my childhood home that I inherited long before I was ready to become a homeowner. My parents worked hard and lived simple lives so that they would be able to ensure me and my daughter always had a home.
My home means so much to me, and it’s all I have. It wasn’t easy at all for me to make this fundraiser, and I had to pray for the strength and courage to face all of you and ask for your kindness and support in this tough time.
As I’m starting to get over my fears and being honest about the severity of what I’m going through, the help and kindness that I’ve received leaves me with such hope and gratitude for the support of my community, and it fills my heart with so much love.
Shares, prayers, and guidance are greatly appreciated, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read about my story.
