Hello, my name is Anna, and I’m from the UK. I’m raising funds to support a family in Jamaica whose livelihood was completely destroyed by Hurricane Melissa.

Earlier this year, I was fortunate enough to travel to Jamaica — an experience that truly changed my life. My time there made me appreciate my own life so much more. I met people who don’t have much, yet they are some of the happiest, most positive, and caring souls I have ever met.

While in Jamaica, I met someone who became a dear friend and showed me life from a different perspective—how to find strength in hardship, gratitude in small moments, and hope even in difficult times. Our friendship has been a meaningful gift, and I’m so grateful it came into my life.

Recently, his family lost their home in the devastating hurricane Melissa. This family has lost almost everything—home, belongings, and income—and they urgently need assistance to rebuild and survive in the aftermath.

Having already faced many struggles in life long before this tragedy, this family has always remained positive, hopeful, and grateful for what little they had.

I want to help support them in rebuilding their home and creating a foundation for a fresh start. The funds raised will help them rebuild a basic home, providing a safe roof over their heads, and ensure access to food and clean water for the foreseeable future during these uncertain times.
