Global Emergency Care Skills (GECS) is an Irish non-profit organisation founded in 2008 that provides high-quality emergency medicine training to healthcare professionals in countries where emergency medicine is a developing speciality. Global Emergency Care Skills has to date trained over 800 medical professionals in multiple countries including Zambia, Kenya, Botswana and Ghana.

This year we will travel to Solwezi General Hospital which is the biggest hospital in the Northwestern province of Zambia. Our next training course will encompass a combination of trauma care skills, sepsis care, and ultrasound training for 45 doctors & nurses who serve a large catchment area.

All funds raised will deliver training to doctors and nurses in the region and will also fund the provision of training equipment and an ultrasound machine to the hospital for clinical use.
