Hello everyone, my name is Victor and I am Rebekah's husband. Seven years ago, Rebekah was diagnosed with severe Gastroparesis, a digestive disorder that has forced Rebekah into the battle of her life and has left her relying on a feeding tube in addition to acquiring multiple long-term disabilities. This condition has required a series of intricate surgeries and ongoing medical interventions throughout the last several years of Rebekah's life. It's been a difficult road and she's been air lifted and septic too many times to count. In December 2023, Rebekah had a total Colectomy surgery and is now on Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) via PICC line, which is the feeding of nutritional products intravenously, while she recovers and regains her strength amid complications from the surgery.

TPN alone is not enough, though, and she also needs tube feeds to ensure that her gut doesn’t shut down as well as IV hydration because her body cannot maintain its core hydration needs on its own. This means that Rebekah requires specialized colostomy, TPN, PICC, IV hydration, feeding tube and other home health care products which need to be constantly replaced in order to provide proper nutrition, maintain hygiene and prevent infection. She also has ongoing medical consultations and home health visits which further contribute to the escalating costs. The current significant financial load associated with her care needs is beyond what our insurance will provide and what we are able to afford alone. I am currently working multiple jobs to help bridge the gap, but it’s not enough.

We are now humbly turning to you and praying for a hand to offset the overwhelming financial burden of medical expenses that we simply can no longer pay. We have created this GoFundMe campaign to raise the necessary funds to cover Rebekah's medical expenses and to provide her with the hospital, outpatient, and continuous home health care that she needs. Every donation, no matter the size, will ensure that Rebekah is able to pay for these things as well as any necessary future medical expenses.
