Hello everyone,
I never imagined I would be writing something like this, especially as the holidays quickly approach, but life has changed for my sister-in-law Rebekah in a way she could never have prepared for.
On October 28th, during what everyone thought would be just a routine mammogram, doctors found something concerning. A biopsy on November 3rd confirmed our worst fears. And on November 5th, Rebekah heard the heartbreaking news that she has Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, Grade 3, Triple Negative.
Those moments felt like time stopped. We tried to breathe, to understand, to stay strong, but nothing prepares a family for this kind of news.
Since then, everything has moved fast. A PET scan has been scheduled for Wednesday November 19th to see how far the cancer has spread. On Monday November 24th they will meet with the oncologist to plan her treatments. November 26th, Rebekah will have her port placed, the first real step into the long road of chemotherapy and whatever else may come.
Living out in Arkansas, far from family and friends, it’s just Rebekah, my brother, and the kids. Rebekah is one of the most loving and caring people I know. She’s an amazing mom, and such a loyal friend. Ever since the day my brother brought her into our family, she fit in so effortlessly, like she was meant to be here. She has blessed all of us, in more ways than we could ever explain.
Now she’s facing something no one should ever have to go through. As she begins treatments and all the challenges that come with them, we want to do everything we can to support her and take even a little bit of stress off their shoulders. The medical bills, the time away from work, and the day-to-day costs add up quickly, and it’s the last thing they should have to worry about right now. And with Christmas and the holidays coming, we know this is already a season where everyone is stretched thin.
That makes asking for help even harder. But Rebekah is known for kindness, strength, and the way she always show up for others. Now, it’s our turn to show up for her and her family.
So, with all the love and humility we have, we’re asking for support whether it’s through donations, sharing this page, or keeping their family in your prayers.
Your help will go toward:
• Medical bills and treatment costs
• Travel and gas for all appointments
• Childcare during surgeries and chemo
• Time off work to care for Rebekah
• Extra expenses that come with cancer and recovery
Most importantly, your support gives room to breathe to focus on Rebekah’s healing and on keeping their home stable and loving for their two young children during a scary time.

“We’re doing our best to take things one day at a time, to stay hopeful, and to lean into our faith.
‘The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.’ – Psalm 34:18
We’re holding that close right now. Thank you for reading our story. Thank you for caring. Thank you for praying. Even in the middle of fear, we still believe in hope, in God’s presence, and in the goodness of people.”
With love and faith,
Ronald, Rebekah, Aurora, and Ezra
