Hi, I’m Rebekah. I live with a severe, life-threatening peanut allergy that can trigger anaphylaxis — even from airborne exposure. Every single day, I take extreme precautions:

Despite these efforts, I’ve experienced three anaphylactic reactions in my life — terrifying moments that happened even when I did everything right.

Simple things like going out to eat, traveling, hiking, or attending a friend’s party come with constant fear. My allergy doesn’t just affect my health — it limits my freedom, heightens my anxiety, and affects my quality of life.

Hope Enters: Meet Rooster!

Rooster is a one-year-old mini Aussie who has already been trained as an allergen alert dog. He previously worked with someone who has now outgrown their peanut allergy — which means I have the incredible opportunity to become Rooster’s new person.

With Rooster by my side, I’ll be able to live with more confidence, less fear, and the kind of support that only a loyal four-legged partner can provide.

Allergen alert dogs are specially trained to detect even trace amounts of allergens like peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, gluten, and more. They provide a powerful layer of protection, alerting their handler before exposure occurs. But more than that — they offer peace of mind, independence, and the freedom to enjoy life again.
