Rebekah Brown's Cancer Fight
Donation protected

One year ago today we woke up and life was normal. How can one day change all of our lives forever? Because one year ago today Rebekah was diagnosed with aggressive stage three breast cancer. In the past year she has endured a mediport surgery, five months of intravenous chemotherapy, a double mastectomy, and over six weeks of daily radiation. That’s just the big stuff! And her journey doesn’t stop there. Rebekah is still working to complete a six month daily regimen of oral chemotherapy and will have to undergo reconstructive surgery at some point this fall. Even after the treatments are “complete” the scans and tests from this point on will be extensive and exhausitve.
With the new year comes new hope and healing but also renewed out of pocket expenses and high insurance deductibles to be met. Last year, Rebekah and her husband Christopher were blessed by close family and Rebekah’s amazing yoga community. They rallied behind them to lessen the financial strain brought on by the piles of medical bills that came flooding in. Rebekah and Christopher naively hoped that the new year would allow them to put this whole experience and expense behind them. However, even though they’ve come a long way, this chapter is not yet closed. Due to her ongoing treatments and additional related expenses that insurance does not cover, we are reaching out for your help.
Please help us to raise funds for Rebekah and Christopher while we raise awareness about some of the details of this disease that affects so many. Periodically we will chronicle Rebekah's experience and the experiences of her loved ones. Thank you for your kind support and attention.
God Bless
